    Default Small Estate

    This is another model using Google Sketchup. The main difference between this and my previous post was the use of a backdrop image to give the model some sense of scale.

    This is a basic image of the estate grounds. I wasn't too specific with the design and just wanted to push some pixels around and see what happened.

    Then I got the idea of importing an image to serve as a background almost like a diorama.

    Not bad! I like the double gate and the large tower, with it's slim body. Are you planning on using it as reference for a 2D map or something?

    Thanks. This was just a quick attempt to see how the design would look in 3-D before I started trying to define what was -in- the room. Sometimes I find it easier to build the shell and then start sticking things together to see an overall design before I work on the details.
