The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

Really like how you added the line drawkings. I am experimenting with CC3 myself. What font did you use? I still need to figure out how to add line drawings like that. Nice :-)
I put the drawings in with PhotoPaint, but you could do it with Gimp (free) just as easily. Just put the scan above the map and set the blend mode to multiply. All of the white pixels will vanish, and the dark pixels will merge into the image nicely. Then you can adjust the size, position and opacity (or transparency, I don't know which Gimp uses) to taste. It took me a little bit to track down where I'd mentioned the font in the WIP thread. It's called Dauphin. I think it was packaged with my edition of PhotoPaint.
