The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

Star Trek: Singularity campaign map - overview campaign map for an upcoming Star Trek (TNG-era) game I'll be running using GURPS. This is the map with GM notes for the first few episodes...it starts with the encounter with Gul Levek.
I am a big fan of Star Trek. Haven't watched it in a while since all the shows have ended. But now I am a fan of your work. I really spent some time looking at this map. Being a cartographer, to get a birds eye view of the federation, this solves a great mystery on the vastness of exploration and travels I have seen on the series. Awesome!
Thanks! If you like this map, you'll love the book I mentioned in the thread where I originally posted it. I was very inspired by it and have tried to emulate the style in these maps. It's called Star Trek Star Charts: The Complete Atlas of Star Trek by Geoffrey Mandel (2002, Pocket Books/Simon & Schuster)...look it up on Amazon or somewhere. It's up-to-date through Enterprise.
