Rough stuff (aka FREE MAPS)

These are the only maps I have so far. They're nothing to write home about because I haven't learned how to make them NOT bland and boring. I need to get cracking with CC3 and GIMP. I'm learning Photoshop this fall so I can make these old clunkers spectacular. Perhaps the best part of my album is that it's a FREE FOR ALL! That's right, if you like what you see, go ahead and use it for stories, games, etc. I'd love to hear what you liked and why. And by all means, if you'd like something modified, let me know. Enjoy folks!
  1. Rhune - a tracing of Germany made shortly after my sister moved there. I gave it a few quick German-based names and then never unearthed it again...
  2. Oldinor: This is a classic stinker! A tracing of England and Wales with some crap-tastis labels tagged with MS Paint. I only posted it to remind...
  3. New Olympos: This is one I'm quite proud of, not for the image, but for the story/ideas tied to it. If I were to ever publish it would most likely be...
  4. Luminae: I like the name and concept of this one. If you care to check out the basics, visit my old blog...
  5. Eauterre: another oldie on tracing paper. Medieval France is the quintessential fantasy setting; green fields, deep woods, gorgeous coast, lots of...
  6. Atlantea: this one was a really fun time waster. Reverse the water/landmasses of an Atlantic map. The most interesting thing I did with it was to...
  7. Yamashi: The eastern landmass of my 3 "Japan maps". I don't recall what got me going on these, what real world islands I used, or what most of the...
  8. Kaito'mitsu: the western island and where I lost interest. Have at it.
  9. Ryu'shima: The first island and mainland of my Japanese phase. I believe this was based on Hong Kong. I liked it when I started out, but I didn't...
  10. This is my first complete world. Well, not completely complete - I still don't have a name for the whole planet, just the mainland. It's not actually...
  11. Mad Lands: nothing special, just a sideways Australia. I'm not certain if I will keep this continent as part of the overall world.
  12. Landen: I really like the shapes of this map. The idea is that it was one large continent, but was fractured by an ancient meteor strike. Or if that...
  13. Knorr'd: this is the Scandinavia of my world. Really cold. Deep fjords. Badass people.
  14. Galedon (Caldonia): this is the ancestral homeland of the humans. The more I look at this old clunker the more I think I need to change it. It...
  15. Farnoria: hmm......to scrap or not to scrap? I like the name, but I could just as easily apply it to something more developed somewhere down the road.
  16. Bro'kuhn: this is a definite keeper. It's the land of giants that used to be attached to the mainland, but now it is its own entity. I really like...
  17. Aengland: real original, I know. It's just England....with an A. The original idea was that these people - the Anglars - would be like...
  18. Schiehallion: this is the mainland. That's about all I can say about it. Yes it's Ireland. Originally I didn't know what it was going to look like as...
  19. Schiehallion terrain: this was just a scribble pad idea of what the features could be. The top center was the foundation of my first fantasy world...
