After Dridon's recent post on trees (http://forum.cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?t=989), I thought I's post a link to a tutorial I wrote and put up at pbwiki back when I didn't know where to post stuff :)

It explains how to use free tools (well I did use photoshop at the time, but it could just have easily been GIMP) to make your own top-down view, detailed trees.

Hey, I came across thread and have been having a good read(thanks again RobA) One of the links is broken and it seems like the POVtree website is no longer running. I found http://web.archive.org/web/20071101052625/propro.ru/go/Wshop/povtree/download.html which has the download
