View Full Version : Greetings from a procrastinator

Hello everyone, and, as it seems common on introduction threads, I don't know what to say :)

My name is Skirmante (whoever pronounces it gets a cookie ;) ) and I'm from Lithuania, that's a small country far far away in East Europe :) As it also appears to be common here for non-native speakers to apologize for their imperfect English, so do I :)

I came here some two weeks ago, searching for... brushes, I think, and simply couldn't resist joining. I've been playing table-top RPGs for several years, GMing them, mostly, and creating maps for campaigns, which sometimes proved to be more fun than actually running the campaign. Most of them were done on paper (one is nearly one meter wide and twice that long:) ), mostly because I had no idea how to draw on a computer. Or more like it seemed extremely complicated and time-consuming and I never had a good teacher.

And then I come here, see all the wonderful tutorials, start following them immediately and never find the time to properly introduce myself :D So, two weeks late, hello :)

Better late than never, welcome to the Guild Shirume! A piece of advice, if you are currently working on a map you should throw up your work-in-progress, that way you can receive feedback and constructive criticism from the collective expertise of the Guild. Glad to have you on board.

What kind of table-top RPG did you lead as GM ?

Take it from someone who went through highschool living by the motto "never do today what you can put off 'til tomorrow", you are no longer a procrastinator. At least as far as joining the Guild is concerned. As for the rest....we will leave that for another day. :D

Welcome and enjoy. :)

Thank you all, and... I'd say expect some if my maps soon, but I can't promise I'll upload them instead of finding something else to do :D

D&D, mostly (3.5 and 4 editions, although we were putting off upgrading to 4th ed for quite some time), but I've tried my hand in GURPS and Call of Cthulhu (I guess I have no talent in setting up the mood :D The adventure was labeled as "too easy and not scary at all" and we never played CoC again :D )
