nice first map Kaede - go look through the finished maps section and see if there is a style you like for your elements - perhaps something looking a bit like Ramahs would do nice.. .or the style Immolate use for his current challenge map of Wheel of Time... :)

I Tried Experiment on my own, And Ive come up with this that I like for Mountains atleast. Tell me what you think.

not bad, and only you can say what fits your map - cause its your vision. But if I should suggest something, it would be making them more uneven and un-alike and maybe add some horizontal "noise" to ground them more :)

The hard part is doing this all with a mouse. I wish I had a tablet. I had one in art class at school. So useful. :/

just bought one - been using the mouse for millenia... but really love the tablet, but I'm still only getting used to it :)

Well I experimented with rivers and added mountains where there sposed to be for the most part. Also I added some indication of Climate. Done for tonight. Hope you guys like it, any critique would be welcome.

even though you map symbols are "stylized" the rivers seem a bit big at the end - I'd make them a bit thinner :)

Thanks for the input, Im trying to figure a way to represent forests as a bunch ofl ittle circles for trees just doesnt cut it for me. XD

What is the scale of your map? Just curious.

For trees Ive seen lots of tree brushes around. :]

The Scale Ive currently just been saying to my self that each block in withs is 125 miles. which would make my map. 2500 miles wide and 2500 miles tall, and if im doing it right. That would make it 6.25million square miles, and each square 15,625 square miles.
