I'm going through my occasional trawl of the Cartotalk website and looking for interesting links (hence flurry of link posting from me).

Check out this site (http://www.carto-grafia.com/component/option,com_zoo/Itemid,107/layout,category/view,category/) - for some really beautiful ways to present maps.

Same, and a click on them gleans the info that the movies aren't loading :(

Weird, it was working earlier...doesn't work for me now either. Sorry chaps!

It worked for me the first time (which was like 3 minutes ago) but right now all I see are big black squares.

Probably some sort of bandwidth thing so I'll check it tomorrow.

Oops. That was probably thanks to me downloading their entire gallery in order to get the whole maps... They're split up into a few hundred small squares each on the highes zoom level.

Long live HTTrack.

The site works fine for me now, though.

Thanks!

At the beginning of our project I thought we should create our own map wihtout knowledge in image editing.
Now 2 weeks later I find out that there are so many programs which are able to create amazing maps but for me everyone is really hard to use..

I tried to start with some "simple" tutorials from here, but somethimes I fail already very early :(
It's really depressing if you try to learn something collapse after a few steps :((
