I don't think I have posted this maps before. They are from the same AH timeline as my Contrapondia map (http://www.cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?12516-Contrapondia-AH-Australia).

All done in PS and Inkscape.

very nice map of an unusual subject
love the Italian one
a bit inexact though for my homeland Switzerland
see this map (http://www.eye.ch/swissgen/ch1798.gif)
at that time almost all the actual Swiss territory was independent

Switzerland had some troubles in this alternate history, therefore the different borders. The good Swiss are also again members of the HRE.

Eaten up by the Swedes, I fear! ;-)

Beautiful - thank you, Sapiento! I had wondered what was beyond the edge of that delightful Contrapondia map.

I fear they are all now good and loyal subjects to the Swedish king. ;-)

Thank you. Maybe I can do a world map some day.

It took me a while to understand how wide is your homeland megalomania
Savoy Naples! Sicily!! Tuscany!!! Romania Bulgaria
well they expanded well in your parallel universe
and where did you want to go north?

It is the height of expansion in this TL and will shrunk again. This is partly due to better Austrian military and marriage policy (e.g Habsburg-Savoy instead of Habsburg-Lorraine), partly due to more cooperation within the HRE against foreign powers.

Awesome work, man. I've always loved your AH maps. One of the few things I miss about AH.com is being able to regularly see stuff like this...

Thanks, Diamond. Lately, there haven't been many high-quality maps at AH.com, sad, but true.

I think that "Kirov" should be named "Khlynov" 'cause IRL this city was renamed in 1934 after Sergey Kirov's assassination to commemorate him. Here is wiki link:

Thanks for the hint. I already know that this is a mistake, but haven't had the time or mood to change it.

I like how Russia dominates the first - both shape and color :)
