So my mapping portfolio site is officially open. I'm still putting stuff in it, but I figured these is enough there now to make it public. See the link in my sig!

Nice site, I noticed some typographical errors and some of text descriptions "A contest entry entry..." in "The Knowne World", "... created with acostom developed script script and custom..." on "the Land of Ascadia". Hope this helps with your success!!

I like the name, the logo positively rocks, and you have an awesome selection of maps that shows off a wide variety of styles.

I'd call it a success so far!

It is very nice RobA. Working on my own website I know how much effort goes into all this and I think you did a really nice job of setting everything up and labeling.

I just made a quick update, specifically, enabling a webfont.... but it doesn't work on my firefox for some odd reason (instead defaulting to times roman).

Can a few folks do me a favour and peek and see if it is rendering with the webfont?

Thanks,

Using firefox 4.0.1 on Mac here and it's rendering as a caps font. Is that the font you're looking for? Perhaps post a screenshot of the deisred behaviour so we can compare?

What font should it be showing?

Looks like TNR titling to me.

What font should it be showing?

In Chrome (expected):
36258

In my Firefox (defaulting to TNR):
36259

TNR in Safari, TNR in firefox, as expected in Chrome. What webfont service are you using?

It is showing correctly for me in Opera and Chrome. But not IE, FF or Safari. As Torstan asked, what service are you using?

I'm self hosting, using the @font-face kit provided css from http://www.fontsquirrel.com/

Not sure why it doesn't work :(

I've used font squirrel a couple of times and never had a problem. Did you

Upload all the fonts
How many different font extensions are there?

Not every browser excepts every font extension. I am using a font and have to have eot, true type, svg, woff

I used the kit with 4 font types. (You can check my css if curious). Like I said, it SHOULD would under firefox but doesn't seem to...

Find this line in your CSS:

body {margin:0 0 50px 0;font-size:14px;color:#ebeec9;font-family: ArtifikaMedium, Georgia, "Times New Roman" serif;background:#222222

Remove the " " marks from around the Times New Roman and I *think* you'll end up with the results you want.

Whew! I was starting to think you removed the quotation marks and then the site exploded. Glad it worked.
