That might come handy...

Sea creatures from Gessner's "Historiae Animalium (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historiae_animalium_%28Gesner%29)" (16th Century)

Sea Creatures vol. 1 (http://www.brusheezy.com/Brushes/1497-Sea-Creatures-vol-1)
Sea Creatures vol. 2 (http://www.brusheezy.com/Brushes/1498-Sea-Creatures-vol-2)

Fantastic, thanks Francois! Some of the other books in that online medical library are pretty stunning too!!

:: Edit :: That's a really nice brush depositary you've found as well. They have some high res old map brushes here (http://www.brusheezy.com/Brushes/1754-14-High-Resolution-Assorted-Maps-Photoshop-Brush-Set).

There's some scary medical tools in Ambroise Pare's book... I'm sure a lot of you could turn them into some kind of weapons. There's even the drawing for an "iron hand"!
