Saw this (via this story on the BBC (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-12355341)) and thought it might be of interest to the Guild. It's an article about an interesting New York map that's both first person and a satellite view. It's all a bit ring world, but the artist talks about the inspiration from old maps and computer games, and discusses how our growing visual literacy means that non-literal maps might be a better way of getting an idea of how a place works.

Interesting indeed. It is actually pretty close to what I'm trying to do in the Lite-challenge this month. Now I guess I have a theory to work with :) Thanks for the link.
