Heh so I don't know if I even want to enter this but i would love to try the project. Of course I'm lazy and always look for the easy way out so I thought of a board game that only has one roll.

Its kind of sadistic but... in a nut shell you would have your Medieval prisoner, and lets say he lives in some kind of civilization that believes heavy in Luck or Divine intervention. Out comes the board game -- instead of all that messy fair trial and jury nonsense they let him roll the dice ( Of fate? ) and the god will reveal the truth*

So I did a fast little sketch up before I turn in

LOL, now see, that looks like a 6 sided die, shouldn't it be a 4? Nice sketch man.

Maybe the other two rolls would be like multipliers of whatever roll you make next. Say if you rolled a 5 or 6, it doubles your next roll. So then if you rolled 'Torture' it would be twice as bad. Or something. :D

sounds like an interesting game - if you're not the roller that is ;)

haha yes, I'll have to come up with something clever to reason the 6 sided dice XD

I'll just honestly hate 4 sided dice for some reason. Never really felt like rolling a real die, more like some pointy rocks and every time feels like you should have shaken them more :/

Diamond had a good idea, although it sounds even more twisted haha

That's because 4-siders are dangerous if stepped or sat upon. :) Also, they don't really roll, do they? Just sort of thud onto the table. And none of mine seem to know that there's a "3" or a "4" on them. That's why I'm glad that Paizo took all of its hit dice from d4 to d6 in PFRPG. Used to hate playing Wizards but no more! :)

Very Cool Idea :)

Try stepping on leggo...

This reminds me of a session from way back in highschool. A trial by the Temple of the Goddess of Luck. Everyplayer had to draw a card from.... The Deck of Many Things...

sounds Sexy XD

Update -- started drawing it somemore -- i dont really know if this even counts as mapping any more XD

I was kind of thinking of nixing the dice and having a large spike which you stick your hand on, which ever direction the blood flows would be your fate... but that was a little over the top i think lol

Looks very good - but a map? Not really in my opinion.

03-07-2011, 07:25 AM
looks fantastic, can't tell you its very mappy - but the voters have the final say in that :)

03-07-2011, 04:33 PM
haha yeah , I should probably just move this to WIP XD

03-07-2011, 05:01 PM
Throw a map of the locale of the, uh, gaming site in as background. That'll up the mappiness.

03-09-2011, 11:19 PM
OK so starting over XD I just had to do something more mappy. Being one for simple ideas I went with a game played by Ogres to settle fights over meat.

In a nut shell the meat is placed int he center and each one takes a turn rolling -- if you get the arrow you move ahead and get to punch the next guy as hard as you can. if you get the X ( or whatever i end up useing ) You get punched by the guy who went before you and loose a turn. First one to get 4 arrows and still be awake wins!

Nice... you could even use it as a compass rose.

03-15-2011, 08:18 AM
looks great as well, but I hope you finish the first one as well - I'd love to see how it turned out :)

03-15-2011, 11:20 AM
That looks really nice, what are you using to create that last image?

03-16-2011, 02:39 PM
Oh, drawing in photoshop. just a lot of copy pasting and Photoshop's Free transform with snap helps A LOT

03-27-2011, 12:27 PM
Ugh well a couple weeks to the big Grad show and I guess I just don't have time to finish this XD -- Although I did use the Circle part on one of my final project and it really helped ^^

Its here if any one is interested lol https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-52rfJLrJAS0/TYtksLB-gUI/AAAAAAAAAFc/pWGVLkqXU1s/s1600/THESUSSTORYpage1finala.gif
