View Full Version : March 2011 Entry: The Arena

Not overly exciting or new. This is a board game of gladiators from 8 different elements. They advance to higher tiers by defeating gladiators. Once on top they defend the upper tier until deemed the champion of the arena.
The bottom tier will be sand, followed by stone, then metal and then marble. I might add 3d to the board game so that each tier is physically higher than the lower tier.

nice , I would play that XD -- Gladiators were always prettycool, men are always trying to out do one another in some way -- what better way then to beat them in mortal combat.

Here is an update.
The Gladiators are elemental based, not that all of them will be actual elementals, but will derive some of their powers from the elements.

The board is getting pretty close to being done. I removed 4 of the player sides to make it easier to look at and reduced the contrast of the background.
I'm also attaching some simple cards for the game.
Thanks for all the positive feedback so far.. any critiques are also appreciated.

I really like the embossing ( spelling? ) on the top stones , nice touch
very nice.. rember that the thumbscraber only scrabes one image, so you gotta put the two together if you want both to be shown in the challenge thumbs :)

Ok, I'm pretty sure I won't have any more time for this, but I'm pretty happy with the final result.
I need to check and make sure I met all the requirements, but for now here is the final image.
