This month the challenge is to map a fort or castle. Any fort or castle of your choice is valid, be it a dwarven holdfast, elven tower, cyberpunk firewalled network or alien bastion ship. As long as it's built for defence it's a legitimate subject.

Whatever the fortification - the best defence is an strong attack - so get mapping and take the contest to your opponents!

• To enter, start a new thread in this forum with the title "April/May 2011 Lite Challenge Entry - <name>"

• The challenge will end on the 15th of May.

This month, as with the previous month, the challenge is sponsored by Profantasy (http://www.profantasy.com/). The winner will get a silver compass, and $40 in store credit from the guys at Profantasy.

Would a blueprint of an orbital defence installation be a valid entry?

I would think so as torstan mentioned "alien bastion ship", and I would put a defense station in that category ;)

And I need to find the time to enter these things ........

Yes, that certainly counts. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I want to enter this one but I've only just been able to do any sketches for it. As some may have noticed I have barely been able to get online lately. Been gearing up for a vacation next week and in preparation for that I have been wrapping up a remodel of my wife's office. Bottom line is I have been really drained between all that and ramping up for the busy season of my business. I just want to go on record that I don't like summer. :)

Also, since I'll be gone next week and away from my computer whatever I would manage would have to be complete by Saturday night. Not sure how much I can do in 3 rather partial days. If I can catch a second wind I will get something going.

Hope to get back to normal soon but it may be a few months to be honest.

I just wanted to ask, when is deadline? 10th or 9th?

It's not written in stone, much depends on when the CL's have time to close the challenge. Sometimes we get it done on time, sometimes it drifts a bit.

Wait a minute. I thought the deadline was always the 15th.

"Officially" it's 10th but it never is and is always closed on the 15th. At least that's the trend.

Well... I hope that's the trend this month, because there's no way I'm gonna finish in two days. :D

I have the same sentiment but I think I can get mine done regardless.

Ups. I planned for the 15th also. Perhaps some nightshift today...

Reading the first post would have saved me the trouble of writing AND editing...

The challenge will end at 10pm EST tonight. Make sure you get your final edits done in time. Tomorrow I'll get a voting thread up!
