View Full Version : 3D labeling, there has to be a better way

So I have been working on a project now for a few weeks and one of the big things we need is labels in 3d.
The only thing we have found is this toolbar, which has limited functionality and wont let you Render the labels..

So its all very time consuming and tedious to get stuff done like this sample.
Does anyone know of any other 3d labeling options?
We are currently considering a recoding of the toolbar.

What 3d renderer are you using? I'm using UDK (Unreal3 engine), and experimenting with sprites that scale depending on distance to the camera (and always face the camera). Probably going for an exponential scaling, not linear, considering how far in/out the user can zoom on my map.
