Pin Interest is an online pinboard - it looks like a fun way to keep organised collections of pictures (http://pinterest.com/search/?q=maps) like perhaps an inspiration folder...Whether it's practical or not will depend, I think on how speedy it is in moving something you find interesting on the web into your pinboard.

This is one of the reasons I love Imgur - if you find an image on the web you like and you want to share in Facebook, it's a right click, choose share on FB and you're done - very fast.

At the moment I just keep my inspiration maps on my hard drive in an 'inspiration' folder. Downloading the maps to the folder is pretty quick as I have it as one of my library folders.

How do you organise your inspiration folders?

p.s. There is a waiting list for membership to Pin Interest (never seen that before).

I do it like you do ravells. Did you see the thread here about pintrest (http://www.cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?17832-Pinterest-beware-of-what-you-do) as well?

Yeah, I'd be worried about doing inspiration maps on the cloud for the same reason Jax just linked to. So I keep a folder on my flash drive called Inspiration :)

Thanks for the article and advice. I think I'll stick to my tried and tested method!
