ProFantasy released the April Annual 2012 (http://sub.profantasy.com/2012/april12.html) today. If you are a Campaign Cartographer user, you may want to check it out. This month issue contains an overland style I created for them, and I hope you will enjoy creating maps with it! cheers, DJ

Oh this looks realy nice. Better than some of the more graphical maps I have seen done ith CC. How does this work, to make elements for such a programm?

Very cool! :)

thanks guys! @Scharzkreuz: It's a whole bunch of handdrawn/painted symbols and seamless-textures in Photoshop. The symbols are cut-out with transparent background (as PNG files). It's possible to create your own set for CC like this as well (but I'm no CC expert). On their forums it's also discussed so you can check it out at their website as well. cheers, DJ

Thanks for the great new style, the Annuals are surely worth their yearly price. And they just get better and better at creating new styles (with some help from talented people like you :)

Congrats DJ! Lovely work!

Now that's not fair man. How are people like me who have to draw with a track-pad supposed to rival that?
Edit: And, now that I look at the map it reminds me of Lord of the Rings.

I bought the 2012 Annual the other day and let me say that your map-style blew me away! LOVE all the personality you put into every one of your symbols. Your entry vaulted your mapping style to the top of my list!

Great Job ! ! ! !

thanks guys, really glad you like it. This was my first symbol set, and it was a challenge to paint seamless patterns that were not too repetitive, blend together, and match the symbols. I hope they worked out nicely in CC, but I bet the guys at ProFantasy merged it all together in a great way ... I don't have CC myself (yet), so I would love to see some maps made with it here on the forums ;) cheers, DJ

You don't have it yet?...I'm shocked they haven't put one in your hands by force!! With someone like you that's practically free advertising. This map look amazing.
