I see you're mapping the surroundings of Sarajevo. Well, it's a good start. For symbols and so forth, I think a few people have already posted elements, but you can also have a look on deviantart for more stuff.

Yes Im mapping surroundings of Sarajevo but in first half of 15 century.
Can you give me links for those elements?

Well, this thread should be a start (http://www.cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?346-Free-Symbols-Sets) :)

I would recommend that you use paths for the borders and territories, since that will make it easier to edit them non-destructively.

I dont know how to use path tool so I use brush instead...

I highly recommend taking the time to practice with the pen tool (just google some tutorials). An hour's worth of practice will pay off in tens of hours saved per year :) trust me!

As someone who used to HATE the pen tool and now uses it a lot, I agree with Lukc. It's painful at first, but worth climbing that steep learning curve.

I need to add River names on map but cant make text follow river...
I dont know how to change direction of text. Any suggestions?

If you put some text in with the text tool, you can then change to the pointer tool (top on the toolbar) and then hover near the corner of the text box for rotate handles. Then drag it to whichever direction you like :)
