A commissioned piece, done in PS.
I think the painterly style came out quite nice.

That is sweet, great colors. It has a distinct look and feel that wold be very cool to unroll on a piece of parchment.

Man this is awesome! Those colors are great - that watercolor look must have been done with an overlay?

Great style, Sap! Simple but nuanced. Love the colors, too.

Love the vibrance and the hand-drawn style. There's a lot going on in this map, but it's still totally legible and clean. Dig!

Yes, very attractive, and I love the colors. The rivers could be a bit more tapered, but otherwise I really dig it.
Quite nice? Don't be silly, Sapiento. It's not quite nice. It's awesome! Great atmosphere, wonderful painterly style ... you've outdone yourself on this one, simple yet elegant. Very, very well done.
And he says "quite nice." Pfft.

This is truly a beautiful map. You've done a wonderful job of putting all of the elements together and coloring them in a fun way! Did you make modular building pieces to construct the different cities? There does not seem to be an end to the amount of ideas I get from you.
Thanks for sharing!

I'm such a color lover, and the palette in this map are great. The buildings are great too :)

Thank you all!
@rpgmapmaker: Yes, I use several single elements (towers, walls etc.) which I combine into cities.

Very nice map, Sap. Love the palette. :)
If I had one criticism though it's that I'd have liked to see more shadowing on your towns and cities. For instance, the town of Sanoni has quite a pronounced shadow on it's left hand side and because of this it really looks bedded into the map. Then other places like Shatkur and Siliir have no discernable shadow and consequently they appear to be floating over the map instead of a part of it. A small thing but I personally believe it really makes a difference.
Anyhow, great stuff.
