4476544766447674476344764These are between 15 and 22 years old. Most were damaged while I was deployed and water leaked all over my storage unit. Most of them took about two to three months each. I was inspired mostly by the Hagstrom Maps and Atlases that were hand drawn up to the late 90's.447604476144762

Holy cow indeed ... the amount of work and effort in these is certainly staggering! Is there any narrative or story associated with them?

I'm stunned. Utterly stunned.

Thank you for all the positive comments. I started to scan my maps on a 11"X17" scanner. Each map is on a 22"X28" poster board so I have to join the scanned images in power point. Some maps take up multiple poster boards so it may take a while to scan all of them.

This Map is the Surrounding metro area for the above City of Cod Port. This one is from 1990. This map is base on the DeLorme street atlases which I started to Collect at the time.52277

This is the city of Loushroute. The original map is on 3 22X26" posterboards. This was based off the Canadian Map Art maps. 52479 Trying to make a better image. Does anyone know of a better program than power point to merge all these scanned images?

And I thought I was a no-life mapper :D Great details job! Maybe try Gimp or Photoshop to merge them together?

I just finished joining the pieces of my map of Avaranchi City in Gimp. Avaranchi is a fictional City in the state of Avaranchi in Ammadore. I drew this map in 1998, a few months after leaving the Regular army. Avaranchi City would be described as a large city in the middle of a desert comparable to Phoenix, AZ although the terrain in Avaranchi is flat.

Thank you Max. Using Gimp made it a lot easier to patch up the scanned images. I wish I had the patience to learn Gimp to make some of the maps I have seen so far on this site.

This is the City of Fordstone. I drew this map in 2002 and 2003. This drawing unfortunately has a lot of water damage along the bottom from storage. 53024

Nice. On average, how long did each of these take you?

Just discover this thread and I'm truelly amazed by the detail.
Hard to believe these are non-existant cities !

Congrats !

Avanranchi City is incredible. I love how Crete Air Force Base has a country club on base, most people wouldn't even think (or know) to add such a minor but important detail to their maps.

Straight streets, square neighbourhoods, highways crossing and cutting the center of the maps.
Yup. These are americans/new world cities :)
And that's what make them look real.

I wounder what I would look like if you'd use your skills to make an old european citymap. ;)
