View Full Version : Daun Fae Cityship :)
What can I say ... I opened Janden's Highthrall and wanted to see a cityship. I was disappointed*, so I made one of my own. Powered by the all new magicko-fagicko transposition engine with integrated gigglewhoppers and greatly enhanced waterhoppery. All aboard the floating entrepot of the spicerways!
*it's a great map, Janden, but I wanted a city-ship!

Pretty cool! Did you do that in SketchUp and then trace over lines and apply a film grain and such?
Nope, just pure Sketchup with a two different styles. I only cropped the screenshots and added some text to them.

Heh - and I'm still seeing the James Blish books (http://classic-sf.com/Series/CitiesInFlight) every time I see the phrase :-). Though your take and Janden's are both nice, Lukc.
Yes, those books are also something I end up having in mind!

Love it! This city-ship is awesome! Heh, "engine with integrated gigglewhoppers and greatly enhanced waterhoppery" makes all the difference. :P

I have to agree with Lyandra... "Gigglewhoppers" and extensive use of "Waterhoppery" technology makes this floating city truly magical to me... :)
Hehe ... just glad it works! :D

Lukc... Are you on drugs? This is cool.
Lol ... no, I avoid drugs. They make me lazy and stupid, which is bad, because, while I do have a tendency to procrastinate, I actually like the fact that I'm very smart. :P
I just have a bit of imagination, here and there. :P
