This was on another bbs, the person requesting the commission was happy for me to cross post it here. It doesn't specifically say 'paid' and of course you'll need to check, but I'd be very surprised if it wasn't.

The Royal Academy of Arts, London, is preparing a large exhibition on the artist Edouard Manet. For the benefit of visitors, we would like to create a highly detailed but traditionally designed map of Paris, complete with a key for important galleries, studio locations and some significant landmarks.

We are in the very early stages of researching a cartographer who might be able to assist the RA. Ideally, we are seeking someone who has worked with museums or galleries in the past, who is highly qualified as a designer, and who is able to work under quite a lot of direction from the Royal Academy of Arts.

For more information, please contact Kitty Corbet Milward in the Exhibition Department of the RA by 1st July 2012: kitty.corbetmilward@royalacademy.org.uk (kitty.corbetmilward@royalacademy.org.uk).
