View Full Version : WIP: Underground necromancer's lair.

So, due to my players going in an unexpected direction, and due to a previously cancelled session being back on, I have to scramble to draw a quick battle map of a vile necromander's lair and get it ready for Saturday.

It's a bit of a short notice, but I have decided to scramble and meet this deadline, and post my VIP here if you guys have comments.
Right now, after a few hours, I have thrown together the basic layer of the lair and still need to finish the furniture, putting the various sources of light and add the shadows... Ha, also, the black grid is going to go. I just forgot to erase that...

(There is a secret door between the rest of the complex and the narrow corridor leading to the hexagonal room at the NE. These are on different layers so I can print out the two parts of the lair separately).

Anyway, here it is...

By the way, I forgot to mention it but, as per usual, all the cool furniture I am going to use was relentlessly pilfered from the Dundjinni forums...

So, as far as I can tell, I finished the map last night (finished in the usual "It will always require just this last one small adjustement " sort of way).

So, here is the central complex the players will initially discover:

My plan is to print everything, paste them over two of three A3 paper sheets and use these as battlemap (come to think of it, maybe I should have started this thread in the battlemap section)...
It was actually surprisingly fast to do...

Nice work, any chance of getting a larger version so we don't pixelate when printing? You can post up to 4 MB maps.

Thanks (come to think of it, you probably recognize several of the furniture as your own creations, right?) and, sure thing (it actually worked just fine, I had trouble earlier, but the connection was crappy...)


Unless I am confused, this should actually be the image I printed out for my players, so it should all be about to scale for the grid to be in the classic 1 inche in size...

Also, here is the one with the secret door still, well, secret.

And here are the secret rooms. I ended it cropping this picture to fit onto a single page and printed it separately, then put it on top of the complex once my cunning players had discovered the door...
