I have come across an interesting, if creepy, vision of a society organized as a rigidly segmented agricultural community to combat and enforce a low-energy mode of life. The whole things is pretty dystopian, but the images are breathtaking:

Arsheesh I think the singapore link is pretty cool, I enjoy fresh garden veggies :-)
