Hi,
I'm new to the forum, but I've been lurking around on here for awhile.
I used to draw simple maps when I was a kid, but recently I have really gotten into drawing highly detailed fantasy maps.

Ędorn Drėsirasar (Southwestern Ędorn) is just a portion of my largest continent on my fantasy world Pęsė. All the labels for geographic/political terms are mostly in the language I have sort of started called Helisinar, which in my own fiction is an Elven language, along with the script. I already have done several other maps that are in my world.
This is the first one that I have redrawn on a 18" x 24" paper. This is not a computer generated map using GIMP or Photoshop; it's completely hand drawn.
I do want to say that I have taken some inspiration from some of the maps that other users have posted, but with my own drawing style.

Wow !! Nice work. I can appreciate the time and effort that it takes to draw a big map like this (I worked on a hand drawn version of a big city in my campaign setting for almost 15 years) Welcome to the Guild and have some rep for posting a great map in your first post :)

I'd say it took about 30-50 hours; I spent about a month working on it usually about 2-3 hours per day.

I do plan on re drawing my two other maps that I have done. I actually did them on 12" x 18" paper, but I want to re design them and draw the maps on larger paper so I can get more detail.
So do look forward to some more of my work in the future.

First off, welcome to the Guild. Second, that is a very lovely map! I'm not surprised it took you 30-50 hours to produce it. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Cheers,

Very nice job. The thing that impressed me most was the consistently neat, even, and legible writing.
