I'm as good as finished with my tests (started about two-three years ago) and make a bigger map to try everything out and hopefully settle a workflow. I work mainly with lots of layer styles and custom brushes - this way I can work fast and can change whatever I want whenever I want.

Comments welcome :)

Lowres (full map is about 5000x5000 pixels):

Working on the colors and changed the town markers. This is a cut-out from the central part of the map to show it in better resolution.

I really like it. And yes, i like the mountains as well. Have some Rep.!

Is there a worldmap? Or is this regional map your first map of this world?

Thanks! This is actually not part of the world I'm working on and the worldmap is done in another style. You can find it on the StormRing website.

Agreed: Looks great :)

I especially like the colors in your second post. I alway seem to have the problem, that my maps get too dark the more I work on them ...

Thanks!
I try to make my maps a little bit brighter so that they look better when printed.

You're welcome.

I will surely keep an eye on that thread. Hope you don't mind, if I use your style as a source of inspiration for my own creations?

I'd be happy if you could be inspired by my map style. I saw your own map and it looks great.
