View Full Version : Rhielôn: The Trade Sea region

The detailing of Rhielôn continues with the region of The Trade Sea.

The Trade Sea is in central Nordikana (the main continent) and is, as named, heavily traveled. It features many of the largest, independent city-states in the realm; some being wealthy and strong enough to support / protect large outlying cities in what could almost be considered minor nations.

This was my first try at a brown toned map and sometimes getting the right contrast for clarity was tricky but I think it turned out well enough.

Feel free to comment, critique, etc. Thanks.

I second D. in his praise. Also I do like the simplicity of this map. Greatly done and effective in its minimalistic concentration.

I suddenly have a craving for espresso-chip coffee ice cream... I blame it on your wonderfully luscious map colors. Really quite striking. Looks a bit inspired by the Guild's site palette, no? ;)

Thank you all very much! I appreciate the compliments greatly.

Sometimes it's hard to not keep adding more and more and to label everything. Luckily my next project was knocking on my mind. :)

I suppose now that I look at it, it does match the site palette pretty well! Unintentional, however; I was inspired elsewhere. Though, I don't quite recall where anymore. I look at a lot of maps.
