Hi all,

This piece was commissioned by Dungeons and Randomness, the famous D&D podcast, in a 18x24" size. It's done in Photoshop. You can check the D&r facebook page about the map here (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=510406782406185&set=a.362483997198465.84645.357075347739330&type=1&theater) and the podcaste website here (http://dandrpodcast.com/).

Nice map. I particularly like the border and the parchment.

A very nice color-scheme! And i like the forests ;) The mountains are in need of getting used to (but by no means bad)...very special sort of look.
Let's see if i can rep you...

...nope, not yet. Have a like instead.

You won't stop being so good, would you?
Gorgious map, keep them coming!

To my taste, I would have preferred it with more contrast, more crispy, but it was probably intended to be this way :/
All in all, it's far above what I can do anyway so ..

Distinctively -Max-esque, but also quite different from your other stuff… Love it! Would rep if I could, but a like and a rate will have to suffice :P

Though I have to say, that font is starting to feel a little over-used ;)

Thanks much guys !
@Dain : Nah I won't :p Why would I do? :D And yea I didn't want too much contrast on it, to keep the monochromatic draw on parchment feel.
@Lingon : hmm if you can name the font without searching hours and link me a few maps that use it, I would say you're right ;)

Hehe, maybe you're right about the font, I just thought I recognized it from other maps of yours. My mistake if you haven't used it before!

I've only used the font used here for seas, lands and mountains on Erin's map before. It's the first ttime I use the one for city/towns/forests labels.

The font is similar to Stonehedge.

@ Azelor : The font is Aniron. Though both Aniron and Stonehendge are gaelic style fonts, they have some pretty big differences in their design. Check the picture below:

Fonts are Never easy to choose. I don't see a overuse of single font types on his Maps

Very cool map! I love the colour scheme and shading, it gives it a very old and ancient feel. The corner details are beautiful as well.
