Hi guys,

Here's a new map for Oraven, the city of Mirghor, located in the Red Moors (http://www.cartographersguild.com/finished-maps/24049-oraven-red-moors-fantasy-map.html). Just the once will not hurt, I went on a geometric layout design. The city was built after the two main religious symbols of the Blood Moon (main and powerful cult in the Red Moors). It's hand-drawn in Photoshop at 8,5x11" size.

I like the bridge :)

This must have been a very deliberately laid-out city! The form reminds me of some of the prominent, distinguished cities of the Lord of the Rings.

Would like to have seen more of the layout surrounding the cities, to know whether it would be farms or forests. I could easily see this city on a precipice as well.

My favorite part has to be the translucent layout guides though... nice to incorporate something like that into the map :)

Really a nice idea to use symbols as base for a city. Well done!

Wow Max that looks great. I've done a "circular" city once before and struggled with getting the layout right. Yours looks perfect. Have some rep !! :)

I'm a big fan of symbols/logos and I fond the idea excellent! I'm gonna keep that in mind if I ever do a city map.

I have a preference for the smaller part of the city, the design is really nice, uncommon and natural at the same time.

Very nice map ! Do you know the meaning of the gate's names ? And why gates of the smaller part of the city do not have names ?

Thanks Whing :) Yes, the gates were named by the Blood moon Cult priests with the mains attributes of Monshra, the Blood Moon. The Lesser Mirghor (and its related symbol) represent the second small moon in Oraven, Erhun. Its gates (and streets aswell of course) have "civilian" names but they're not as much important as the religious names of the greater Mirghor's gates so they're not shown on the map :)

Another cool, gameable map. Your craftsman-ship is as always superb!
I'm not sure that i'd have two circular cities side by side in my rpg-worlds (or one city split in two circles ;) ), but it's an interesting concept.

Hehe thanks Eilathen! You should try those city splitted in circles, that's awesome :D
