View Full Version : *** May Challenge - Mapping Like A Monsterl ***

05-06-2014, 01:02 PM
The Challenge:

This month's challenge was suggested by rgcalsaverini a few months back. His basic idea for the challenge was:

...to make a map like a primitive monster society would (like orcs, trolls, goblins...), taking into consideration their limitations, technology and access to materials.

You can find rgcalsaverini's more lengthy suggestion here (http://www.cartographersguild.com/general-discussion/25994-how-would-monsters-map.html#post235120). So that is our challenge this months ladies and gentlemen. Let the games begin!

The Fine Print Stuff:

Title each new thread May 2014 Entry - <your title>
Precede each WIP image with the tag ### Latest WIP ###
The challenge will end around the first days of June, and the winner will receive a golden compass, and be crowned with immortal glory!

Cool. I may make a string and knot map. Like in the old History Museums.

I think I'll take a whack at this. It sounds like fun! I guess you need to suppress the fine detail and fancy text and concentrate on basic content a 10 year old would understand.
