KOTS is finished! Yay. I went with a different, more ink-friendly style with the 2nd level. I'm happy to have it done. I can definitely recommend it as a way to both learn a new app (DD3 in this case) and thoroughly learn a new module :)

Loyd, a few suggestion to give your Battlemaps that little extra.

On mine, I make the grid constrained to the rooms only. Second, move the grid sheet so it is on the list above WALLS (thus it will appear below the WALLS sheet).

Additionally, I make my grid lines about 0.1 thick, and then apply a reverse bevel to the layer, making the grid appear as individual tiles on the floor.

I'll try the different look to the grid on the next batch. Good idea on the walls.

I like having the extra grid on the white space though, especially for sections that have secret rooms that can be drawn in later.

OK, one other thing, for your stairs, in the symbol catalogs, there are different types/colors of stairs. To represent stone stairs, there is a GREY color set of stairs (click on the + sign to open all associated symbols).

Then, instead of using two sets of stairs, click on the stairs, then RIGHT-CLICK to open the SYMBOL PARAMETERS, and select the Independent X & Y, and give your stairs an X value of 1, and a Y value of 2. Thus you now have a 4x4 (or in D&D Scale 20x20 set of stairs.

Likewise, if you want a smaller set of stairs, (for example, a 5 foot or 1 square long by 2 square wide) you would choose a Value of .25 for the X value, and a value of 1 for the Y.

I am new to this whole online map thing. How do i print these maps to proper scale with 1" squares? I am a OSX user with a canon ip4500 printer. any help would be appreciated.

Loyd's given the ppi of the large versions of the maps as 120. So, if you open the image in your image editor, make sure the ppi is set to 120, and print from there, they should print at the proper scale.

In Photoshop, Image > Image Size. Make sure "Resample Image" is unchecked, and under Document Size, change "Resolution" to 120 pixels/inch.

Please take note, however, that the images are quite large. Area 2-12 is 33" x 24". So you're going to have to slice it up in order to print it at home. I've never done that, so I'm not sure what the best way to approach it would be.

Well, I found the problem:

Command 'rm -f -r "shadowfell_keep_bmat_2_16.jpg"'
failed with return code 139 and error message
-bash: line 43: 12049 Segmentation fault

The colo is building me a new system, that HD is going bad.

Thanks for pointing it out again. I'll post again when it's back up.

Well, my old colo sucks. I'm now moved to a new hosting provider, and all maps should be up and working properly.
