Hey guys...I just wanted to drop in and A) Wish everyone a happy holiday season celebrating whatever it is you're celebrating and B) to comment on why I've been such a bad admin.

I've been REALLY crazy busy lately working on LOTS of things for LOTS of people, all of which doesn't involve any ME time, and unfortunately, its the ME time when the site gets attention.

Luckily for me, I've got a very dedicated group of CLs that even when they have little time, they still manage to scrape together enough time to keep you lot in line (or so it would seem lol)

So I appreciate all of you for your participation here, and I also appreciate your maturity and ability to play well with each other even when I'm not around. ;) (not that there's ever been much of a problem when I am around)

In all seriousness though...I'll be catching up and I've got some things on the very near horizon upgrade wise for the site...to include auto thumbnail scraping a-la Redrobes WIP scraper, and some GP affiliation stuff, and some Member Location Map stuff...all kinds of things I just haven't had the time to do I hope to have time for later this year ;)

So stay tuned and have a happy holiday season!!!

Really? hadn't even noticed you were gone!

You know, one day, us CL's should meet up in person for a drink. I guess New York would be a good spot!

I'm guessing that you'll probably need someone to draw y'all a map on how to get there...wonder if there's a place where we can find some map maker guys? :)

We could to to the Ascension Islands for a more 'centre weighted' spot...bearing in mind Torq lives in South Africa!

Heh, I was wondering how a balance scales applied to the member map would look like. Like, if there were more people in western Europe and North America than in Asia and such; how could we determine a central point by averaging population densities n stuff. I'm sure there's some math involved so I'll just throw a dart at the map :) Googled up those islands...at least it's summer there, not sure about the night life though.

One of these days I'm going to be rich enough to run CartoCon...And we'll do the population average thing, and it'll probably end up in the middle of the ocean...so I'll use my vast wealth to terraform an island large enouh for a con, and I'll fly everyone that is able to attend to the island, and we'll have a con!

Now...roll initiative!
