Is anyone willing to do Tutorials for Effects?

Just recently got CC3 and Everyone is basically saying my maps are good but they would be alot better if I used the effects..

Except.....................I have no Idea how to use any of them..

When I try and use them, I don't see what it does to the Map. I have no Idea what to change.

Well, to start with...make sure you have put a check next to "Activate sheet effects" in the sheet effects dialog...that may be why yer not seeing anything...after that you may not need all the tutorials after all. If that doesn't change anything, let us know and we'll see what we can do.

I have done that
Gone Down the List one by one and seen which ones has anything that can be changed when you do the Following
Checked :Activate Sheet Effects
Checked :Selected Sheet
Click Edit Button

Sea sheet
Blur Radius
(What Does this Do, What Range of Numbers can you put here)

Land Sheet
Spatial Matrix Processing
Filter Matrix
7 x 7 Rows
Factory Setting appears to be

0 0 0 0 0 0 0
0 0 0 0 0 0 0
0 0 20 20 20 0 0
0 0 20 100 20 0 0
0 0 20 20 20 0 0
0 0 0 0 0 0 0
0 0 0 0 0 0 0

Division Factor (Calc Divisor Button) Bias (Blank)

What Effects can we expect by changing any of the Numbers here, What Range ( 0 to what )
What IS Division Factor/Range
Bias (what will it DO and Range)

Outside Inside
255 255 255
Strength (0-8 )
Blur Radius (0=None)

( Is Blur Radius Scale Feet?)

I don't know If I can do screenshots, otherwise I would.
Many people hate programs like this because, Unless you have alot of time or experience with similar programs ( I am sure Many Graphic Artist are familar with similar terms and know what these thing means and what changing things will have on the Map) it does get frustrating trying to make Maps like others post here and on other forums. With posting examples and Tutorials people can get an idea what effects you can expect.

I have experiment changing a few things, but instead of getting a WOW great result I get a Looks like Sh :shock: T effect

Even Finding out how some sybols can be changed in Basic Colors by click on the pallet box
