I've had a couple of shots at downloading this but it's going incredibly slowly and then timing out. Is anyone else having this, or is it just my internet connection being hinky?

Thanks for the link - it looks really cool.

very slow at this time...I show a 27.6 KBs transfer rate! When I downloaded it this morning, had 1200+ KBs!

Yeah, I tried downloading it this morning and it timed out.

Doing it again, now and I have 34.5 KB download, even though I am on cable modem and the whole thing shouldn't take 15 minutes, instead its taking 4 hours - makes no sense to me.

We'll see if it times out again.

I'll wait to try until I get home - I'm on a fiber connection so it shouldn't take to long.

I'm downloading Vue right now from home on my Time Warner Road Runner cable connection and my transfer rate is only 34.9KB/sec!

Yeah still slow - I'm on a 20mbps high speed connection and only averaging about 40-45kbs.

Oh well, I'll just let it chug, chug, chug away...

Hi, All.

Sorry for the double post.

I have been trying to download this software since 1500 hours this afternoon WITHOUT SUCCESS. I get anywhere between 8 and 17 percent complete and the far end server times out and reset the TCP connection.

It is getting SO FRUSTRATING!!

I would really like to get this software.

Regards,

Gary

You could get a download manager like GetRight or something similar - get right is a bit spammy if I remember right. The point is that if it times out you can restart it and it will start where it left off.

I'm at 20% complete with 20 mins remaining. (seem to be floating around 250KB/s)

My initial attempt failed, so I started earlier this morning and was able to download it in about 20 minutes.

I was about to get lost in creating my own worlds for a few months...until I realized that it was going to take a few months just to DL. I'll give it a few weeks to calm down and try then.

Hi, All.

I e-mailed Cornacopia 3D Support last night and told them the problem I was having. I don't know if it did any good or not but I was able to download the software last night at a wonderful average transfer rate of 400KB/sec.

Gary

Vue is worth checking out. 2 of my latest WIPs have been created with it. :)

Same here, try different times and the speed might be better (I averaged at 500KB/s).

I'm getting about 30 kbs as well.

After initially giving up, because it timed out twice downloading at only 38KB, last night tried one more time and was downloading at 458KB and got it in under 20 minutes, whew! Haven't had time to look at it or even load it, yet, but I have it, maybe I'll take a peak sometime next week.

Its not the length of your download but what you do with it that counts. :D
