View Full Version : Town of Riverfield

I finally added a few finishing touches to my town map (from this thread (http://www.cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?t=4365)). I added a few more buildings, did some tweaks with the trees, and added some extra touches to the ground.
Presenting the Town of Riverfield.
And here is the town with a grid.
My next task is to write the tutorial on how I did those fields. ;)

Simply amazing. You've created a beautiful map that's also very instructive and usable.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the comments (and the rep :P). I guess I should mention some of the processes that were behind that map. All of those houses are hand drawn and scanned into the computer where I modify them with the free transform option in PS. I then add a colour overlay, an inner bevel, and an outer glow to get what you see. The rivers were created by all of the help I got in my first map done in this style (see here (http://www.cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?t=3389)) - thanks again guys! The farmer's fields were devilishly simple to create but I will explain that in the tutorial I'm writing. ;)

I thought I should mention that the farmer's field is now available over in the Tutorial subforum:
