So, I've been playing around, and starting up a team for Blood Bowl in anticipation of the new BLOOD BOWL PC Game (http://www.bloodbowl-game.com/), I have been working on my Miniature Blood bowl team, the Lizardmen.

To that end, I have been working on a GAME BOARD for the game (cause I don;t own one :()

So, here it is.

Cool ! Could have done with this a few weeks back when I played Chaos vs Humans and lost badly due to my unfavorable dice rolling. Is this the finished map. It looks all done but the board is pretty big so needs some good res to print out for it. A PC game would be good esp if you can play over the net. Not sure what its going to do that a VTT + a rule book cant but I hope its successful anyway. Blood bowl is a great and simple game.

That's inspired me to pick up the game again - if I can find one. I may have to use yer map as well, if you don't mind.

It's REAL fantasy football. Each team is "usually" made up of one race, with perhaps 1-2 specials of another race. Each race has both pros and cons. Dwarves are slow, but hard to take out of the game. Elves are fast, but not so hardy. Most(all?? I can't remember) have a chance of cheating and getting away with it. I especially like the Golbin team with the Troll special unit. He(the troll) generally picks up the goblin who has the ball and passes the whole package down the field!

Your description is pretty accurate save for one essential point... you never mentioned the gratuitous mutilation. :P

I figured that would have been obvious when I mentioned cheating.... but just to make it fully clear, the goblins cheat with chainsaws! Not to mention the section on the game board NK made for "Dead and Injured":P

I used to play a text based game back in the 90s (before MMORPG's were around) called DragonRealms and we had something like this called Togball - named after the Gor'Tog race similar to half-orcs but bigger and dumber. Although we didn't actually play it there was some fanfic about it that sounds pretty similar...instead of using a ball first one to lose their head became the ball, that sort of thing. Sounds like a wail of a good time. Sounds a bit like the blood rule in rugby but to the nth degree.

Very good - I bet they can run with the ball pretty well and give a viscous bite to boot ! I am playing space marines 40K next w/e which should be a hoot.

The coffin in the "dead/injured" box is a nice touch.
