Hi I am new here,

During the day light, up here in the Great White North, I am a linguist, but at night and when I have a little time to waste I like to make maps and play RPGs. Of course I am a novice, or a noob, when it comes to cartography.

I found this forum actually during a web search for some online help using photoshop. This award winning thread: http://www.cartographersguild.com//showthread.php?t=1150&referrerid=11683

on how to use the RPGcity map maker and photoshop, two of my favorite pieces of software. I actually spent a few days working on some maps of my own for my Exalted campaign that I am storytelling right now. I will post my maps in the appropriate forums for some feedback.

I think I will spend most of my time in the city maps and building maps sub-forums since I am most interested in those two right now. CG looks to be an invaluable resource.

Oh yeah! I should also mention that I use Photoshop, RPG Citymap maker, Autorealm, and any other freeware that is useful that I can find. I am also willing to try out trial versions to some of the more expensive progs, but mainly just to try-out some of the tutorial thread posted on these forums.

Hey, I dink around with languages & roleplaying games, too.
But that doesn't make us particularly special on this site.
