Nearly finished. Thanks goes to Ascension and Pasis for the tutorials. Both saved me a lot of aggravation.

This is Outreach, a planet occupied and owned by Wolf's Dragoons from the early 31st century to 3067 when the pseudo religious and anti-clan organization "Word of Blake" nuked their home continent of Remus from orbit. This after a failed attempt at retribution against the Word for killing their leader, Jaime Wolf, and a fair number of other Dragoons by subterfuge. These were the opening shots in what has come to be known as the Word of Blake Jihad, a conflict on a scale and with atrocities not seen since the 29th century.

The western continent is Remus, the personal training grounds and home for the Dragoons. Place names are inferred from several novels, especially "Wolf Pack" by Robert Charrette, 1992.

The eastern continent is Romulus, planetary capital Harlech. Also a respite for mercenaries from around the galaxy and home to the AMC, Allied Mercenary Command, competitor to Comstar's MRBC, Mercenary Review and Bonding Commission.

Map continents and general geographic details from the Inner Sphere sourcebook. Some place names are made up by reasonable inference that the original settlers were Welsh and Italian (ergo Harlech and Romulus).

Hope you like it. I need to get the accuracy nuts to review this as well as get a few more names made up on Remus. I also need to incorporate the planet into the background and plan to introduce an ominous warship with nuclear pinpricks of light on the background planet. Other than that it's done.

I'm tired, have a headache, and want to go to bed now.

Is it on one planet? I like it very much, like the design enough for some rep.

Looks really good to me, the only thing I found missing was a scale for the continental maps (but maybe its not needed).

Scale is extraneous, though I could put it in. Hex sizes are considered standard for game purposes.

That said,

the star is K19V and the surface gravitation is 1.1g.

Ok, which one's best? 1) dirty grey background, 2) watecolor filter, 3) cumulus clouds surrounding the nukes?

I miss my battletech days, though we never got into the planetary/systemwide strategic aspects.
Wonderful map though!

I say its good! Also I suppose if you're not gonna do new avalon, megamek maps of each continent might be nice :P No pressure!

You know, that's probably a better idea than you know. One of the toughest things to do with these maps is to judge what the terrain types are per hex and where all the water bodies are for rule purposes. I'll do it in Heavymetal Map though since that's more flexible for my needs.

Heck, I've been looking through RPtools lately. You could almost surely run something like this through the software, although you'd need to avoid using the space grid for system movement.

The additional of the planet and the dropships make it stunning! Well done! Thanks for reminding me of how awesome some of the Clan Wars adventurers were!

BattleTech is a very solid game. If you ignore all the clan stuff, it's a fairly straight-forward Futuristic Barbarism setting with rock solid game mechanics. The basic rules of the game have been essentially unchanged for over 25 years. They're just that good.

Of course if you include the clan stuff that estimation goes down hill pretty damn quick.

Of course there's no rule that says everyone has to like the same things. Haha!

I think the clan element is awesome (of course I'm more of a writer than a gamer now) I can remember reading The Jade Falcon and being thoroughly entertained.
