It's been a few years since I really used Campaign Cartographer 3 to create regional maps as I have been using City Designer 3 exclusively. To satisfy my map craving I created a regional map of Verena.

To see its location in the world:
http://www.cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?t=2977

Verena is a small city outside The Valley and it's on the edge of civilization. Snow and ice menace the area most of the year and directly to the north the snow never melts.

I am calling this map done.

Nice map! The mountains are really striking, even though they aren't snow-capped.

Thanks. I think CC3 comes with symbols of snow-capped mountains, but not in this dark color.

Nice map there Gandwarf!

CC3 does have snow-capped mountains where you can select the base color btw :)

Ah, couldn't find them... now I will certainly look for them :D
Those little buggers would look great in this map.

Very nice, I can just imagine having an adventure in there...dire wolves in the logging camp and then being chased all the way to the mountain pass!

Yeah, I am quite pleased how this map turned out! Now I am looking for an excuse to do more regional maps... but really, I have none. I should be writing again :)

The snow-capped mountains are a nice addition.

You've got a good handle on how to get some nice-looking maps out of Campaign Cartographer.

Came out pretty good. I like it (that's rare for a symbol based map). Have some rep for it.

Thanks... I think you forgot to rep me though ;)

I did before, but it seems that for some reason it didn't come through :? Well, now it should be in order..

Maybe you repped someone else in this thread, happens to me sometimes.
Or maybe it was a bug and the forum is falling apart and we are doomed ;)

might be, might be.. or I just actually forgot to give rep, or press the submit button. :P

Yeah, you're right, we probably are.

I, for one, blame space aliens.

FYI: I think I know what happened to the missing rep... Call it a hunch...

You owe Jykke 2 rep then, with interest 3 :D

I think I can comply. Luckily, I now, for whatever reason, hit for 3 at a time, anyway ;)

Yeah, I noticed.
We certainly need to rectify that. Unless you know... you give me some more rep soon...

:D

I keep trying to hit the rep button, and it keeps telling me I'm too soon. I better go on a violent repping-spree full of club-bashing carnage.

Not the biggest fan of the symbol based maps, but there is a lot of good things in this one. I would have hoped for more isometric feeling on the big forest like with the mountains though.

Thanks Pasis, from you this is certainly a compliment.
I expanded this map somewhat in the original WIP thread. Be sure to check it out :)

Yes...You sure did go a "bit" further with it! I have been off from mapping for a month now and I don't have a good picture yet what is going on at the moment and didn't see your WIP (maybe I shoul read the posts in more organized way :) ).
