Well I thought it was time to call this one finished. This map came about when I was trying out Pasis's excellent tutorial "Raising the mountains". In addition to following his tuturial I also experimented with different textures and techniques to get the result you see here.

I would like to thank the community for the critique in my WIP-thread which helped me with some corrections of the map.

The WIP-thread can be found here; http://www.cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?t=7005

I decided not to name the lakes, rivers and provinces to avoid making the map seem too cluttered with information.

Great stuff - would've repped, but I already did on the WIP thread, I guess. Rated, at least.

Said it before, but it deserves saying again - that's one sexy map :)

Nice map! I hope we'll see more of this world (if there is). Keep up the good work.

There is a typo - at the top of your map it should read "Woods of Eastern Shua" .

Arrgh! Thank you for seeing that, it's now fixed :)

And yes I've already started on a map depicting a country to the south of this map, so there will be updates until I've finished the whole world.

Thank you for your kind comments :)

This map is beautiful! :)

I eagerly await seeing what the rest of this world looks like, judging from the overview map you posted in the WIP thread there will certainly be a lot to see. :!:

This is great. Wonderful map!

Very sweet! That would look beautiful hanging on a wall. My only crit is that the scale legend doesn't have a length that corresponds to the map border markings.

Have some rep!
