As a Dungeon Master, I've had to make a few maps for my homebrew D&D campaign setting. I'm happy with the looks my noobish skills have been able to produce. But it takes very long. I'm sure there are either faster ways to get the same results. Or there may be ways to get better results in the same amount of time. Does anybody have any tips on how to improve on this regional map?

I love that quilty, puffy look. It's rather cute actually. It's a nice little map. Not a lot of room for river violations, and none observed. As a newbie map it's pretty nice and has a lot of style. Check out the tutorials section. There's a lot of good tutorials in there for doing all sorts of snazzy map magic. Oh yeah, and I did a couple, too. :)

Agreed with liam, the puffy look is a great style. for a suggestion, your text seems a little plain, but that would only be a small touch up.
