Hey guys,

It's been a while since I have been on here, but I thought I'd share my latest map. Wizard's of the Coast recently published an article in which they revisited the Keep from Keep on the Borderlands for use in campaigns set in the Chaos Scar. While I enjoyed the article, I did not enjoy the particular illustrative style of the isometric map for the keep. Using the map from the original module, I drew up a map in my own style. The building placements are a bit different, but it's essentially the same map. I included a version without my campaign specific labels for others to use.

Cheers and enjoy,

Rwaluchow

You should check out Frandor's Keep (http://rpglabyrinth.blogspot.com/2010/03/frandors-keep-review.html) if you liked the original Keep on the Borderlands.

I fully agree with Ilwan. Crisp and clean map, good use of colors and incredibly useful. Have some rep!

effective map for a rpg session. part of my brain tells me that the castle is located in a hollow although the other half knows it better :)

I love it! But I still have so much nostalgia for the original! Great work!

Bree Yark means 'I surrender' (hee hee).

nice job. you could consider making the lower ground slightly darker, or add just a touch of shading to the cliff to give the effect of depth. Not really needed though since we all know the keep is built on higher ground.

Thanks everyone; I'm glad you like the style. I had tried to darken the lower level, but I obviously did so with too light a touch. I'm going to go back and see about adjusting it some more.

cheers,

Okay, so I darkened the lower level some more and added an element of shading to the cliff face. What do you guys think? An improvement?
