Thought I'd pass along a map of the Vaasa region from the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting that I created to accompany Brian R. James' article in Dungeon #177.
Hope you like it. :)

That's a stunner. Those mountains must have taken forever. I love the border, compass and scale - very nice indeed. Thanks for posting this.

I began yesterday with a map in a similar style. I think I'll throw it into the next trash can after I saw this.

I wish I had even an inkling of how to accomplish this style. Have some rep.

Thanks guys! The Realmslore articles seem to be turning into a regular gig so hopefully I'll have more in this style to show soon. :)

Watching your work makes me feel like I should play a forgotten realms campaign with my friends :D. You're really talented and one of my favorite cartographer ever! Thanks for sharing this.

Extraordinary work. I am truly impressed. Duely repped.
I hope you don't mind me saying though that the labels for Vaasa and Damara seem a little too black to me. The lables(IMHO) don't really fit with everything else.

Absolutely stunning. It's just got so much character.
Any chance of a tutorial of some of your methods, ways of working without giving away the family silver? :)
