    Sometimes this place can be a bit... intimidating. There are so many talented people making so many nice maps that sometimes it can be a bit frighting. I'm fairly secure in my belief in my own talent when it comes to encounter map making and story telling and in a less secure way my large scale map making skills.     I have a map due to the publisher tomorrow midday. At the last minute, well after roughs had circulated numerous times and had been ok'd for finish, they decided that they didn't want all the type hand lettered, which I had done. I pulled all
    lettering off in Ps, and proceeded to reset all the horizontal type in Ps (4.5) which is all I work in. Good. Everything's looking good. But, I get to all the other type that's running up and down rivers, across bays and oceans, down winding roads, ...

  5. Map Related Job Interview

    I just completed a phone interview for a position as a software developer with OpenGeo, an organization that develops a variety of Open Source GIS software. I think it went really well and it sounds like I'll probably be contacted for a face to face interview.
