WIP: A large inn

Some players of mine have set up a retirement project for their characters (yeah for optimism...) and want to buy themselves an inn...

Initially, in a bit of metagaming, they wanted to buy the Jumping Dwarf inn from a one shot I ran for some of them...

But I decided that such a project deserved more...

So I started to work on a bigger project.
Ultimately, I'd like it to be three+ stories high, with the ground level for the restaurant (one of my player has already taken points in "profession: cook" and pestering my NPCs for recipes... It's a bit awkward around mind-flayers...).
The next levels will be rooms for the customers and, on a roof, the stairs will lead to two "towers", two stories high (where I plan my players to set up their private quarters).

So, without more ado, here is the ground level...

I still have to add all the shadows, the doors and the windows and the light effects... I don't yet know if it will come furnished or if I'll let them take care of that...
I might also put a row of pillar in the middle to support the second floor and make use of this big space... It could also use a chimney or two, I suppose...

Anyway, second floor should come soon enough. Until then; let me know if you have any suggestion, comment or question.

Ok, doors and windows added. With some light coming through the windows.

Could still use a chimney place at the bottom, and maybe a couple of pillars in the middle...

We'll see...

This is where the rooms are actually located.

Again, that will do for now... I will probably revisit it at some point and add furniture, but I might wait for my players to decide what they want where...

I really like how you angled the walls around the stair landing. It is a small detail that adds a lot to the look. I'm not as fond of the pine floorboards. the scale seems off. It is possible, but not likely, that they would have used 30inch wide planks. Narrower boards would look more normal.

Yeah, it seemed like the it would look better that way. The landings were quite big...

As for the floor boards, it should be easy to solve...

As mentioned, the next floor is actually a flat roof, from which two towers stand out.

I expect my players to set their quarters there (the towers count 7 room -I initially was shooting for 6- for 6 players), I guess they can do grilling there on the 4th of Flamerule...

Ok, I updated the shadows in the staircase I was not happy with. I also added some shadow on the roof and; while I was at it, I added the fireplace and work-bench I talked about...

The pine floorboards look much better and the shadows really add a lot to the depth, nice work. I like the angled roof, the only suggestion on that would be that the edges are to perfectly cut off. It would look even better if the edge were slightly irregular.

Final suggestion is the railing is to plain. The railing shadow looks good but maybe add posts to the railing itself. Something like this for example:
