The Guild needs a "Public Relations" Person.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Cartographers' Guild,

We need a Public Relations person to handle all of our, well, public relations bits! I figured it best to go to the community to look for one, that way anyone can step up, not just a CL. We're looking for someone who is active or at least aware of the daily activity that takes place site-wide, and is able to devote some time almost daily to scouring the community for interesting tid-bits and promoting those tid-bits to the rest of the community. This will involve making posts and promoting threads to the front "news/articles" page of the site, promoting and encouraging the use of the guilds blog feature, checking the PR email address (soon to be publicized), and managing the guilds' social networks

Hands together for wally-d-feed's winning entry to the Jan/Feb 2012 light challenge Compass Rose. It was a good field of entries (15 in all) with some excellent work all around!

wally-d-feed's entry Old Paper was a modern twist on a traditional style, with vector based goodness all around:
3 new map products now on Kickstarter!

The Kickstarter page for Christopher West's next double-sided poster map, Mass Transit IV, is now live! If the funding goal reaches higher levels, additional map tiles and posters will also be printed. Please check it out and, if you like what you see, help him spread the word about these new products:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...-maps-and-more

Oh, and check out the video for a close look at all of this new stuff! The first goal is to print poster-sized deck plans of a new starship, The Nova Eclipse. If we double the goal, the Alien Starship tiles get printed. Finally,
