The initial inspiration came from the Italian town of San Gimignano, which is known for its many towers. Apparently, rich families tried to outdo each other by building ever higher towers to display their awesomeness.

The Haréshk is a dichotomous place, its idyllic terrain and beautiful hills and grasslands forming a stark contrast to the politicking of its regions and their rulers; kings and queens and their countless lords and advisors. The place is somewhat antiquated, still holding onto traditions that the world's major powers (amongst them the two Korachani empires and the Secular Parthian Republic chief amongst them) consider to be antiquated, such as knightly traditions and a feudal state. The region is renowned for its myriad flags and heraldic devices and the angelic and draconic motifs (both attributed to its religion) that fill its art and culture.

Hey guys,
The map depicts a fantasy country called Oakfall, a religious-throwback monarchy with a shifty priest race, twin heirs to the throne and vassals with crumbly-loyalty. The setting is mostly low/dark fantasy, the priest race being the only non-human humanoid or sentient race (and they look almost exactly human). Surrounded by countries of more 'contemporary', uniform religion, Oakfall returned to a feral, chthonic form of faith guided by the Priests of Nogur. Under the blessing of their demon-god, the kingdom is abundant in wealth and peace, at least until the second heir is too qualified --too loved-- to be ignored, and wants more than he probably should.

...The map also contains some special features: I wanted to make some humble tribute to a few Guild's cartographers of whom I like the works. Ten or so labels are therefore inspired by some CG's maps I like, slightly modified, more or less easy to spot...
