    Default Dwarf Fortress Aquatic

    *I recently found out that unless I put things in the finished maps area they don't automatically go there at the end of a challenge.*

    This was an entry for the Lite Challenge to come up with a Dwarf Fortress back in April.

    I originally sketched out the idea on paper with a pencil then used my digital camera to get it into GIMP. (I didn't have my scanner yet.) I had to clean it up quite a bit and straighten out some of the lines. See the WIP here if interested. The story in the image explains the concept I had.

    Everything was still really new to me in GIMP and I look forward to better things as I master the digital tools.

    I like it! Especially how the ship is short in the keel and very stout looking, a dwarven ship if ever there was!
