Cool map. Well done.
I can imagine this as a campaign setting. The players getting used to the roads and trade routes, while making friends and enemies in the cities.
(There are still a couple of things I'd like to tidy up though)

This is my Kingdom Of Shendenflar regional map created with GIMP. Special thanks to everyone that offered feedback in the WIP phase. This map depicts Shendenflar's general geography and major cities and towns.

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.

nice map ... I like the texture of the ground.
Is this only a part of a bigger world or is this only the "play area" ?
